A society built by the people it serves
DONetS was started in Jalukie Town by a group who could see two problems at once — natural resources disappearing, and families with no economic reason to protect them.
History
From 2013 to now
Development Outreach Network Society was established in 2013 in Jalukie Town, Peren District, Nagaland, to empower communities through sustainable development while conserving nature. It was founded by dedicated individuals who recognised the urgent need to protect natural resources while addressing social and economic disparities in their own communities.
Since then the work has widened into biodiversity conservation, women's empowerment, youth leadership, livelihood promotion, food security, rural sanitation and capacity building. Two partnerships mark the turning points: GroundUp Asia Pvt. Ltd., which backs the Hoolock Gibbon habitat project and the Grassroots Leadership Training Programme, and Gajam India Private Limited, for clean energy access across Peren District.
On 19 September 2018, DONetS was registered under the Societies Act of 1860 of Nagaland State.

From the Executive Director
Message
Guided by our vision, DONetS expanded its programmes across Nagaland, Assam and Manipur this year — promoting sustainable livelihoods, environmental conservation and community empowerment. We supported rural families through piggery, poultry, beekeeping and goat-rearing, backed by technical training, financial assistance and continuous mentoring. Community plantation programmes strengthened both environmental restoration and household incomes.
Women's empowerment remained central. Through our tailoring training programme, many young women gained vocational skills and established their own enterprises.
These accomplishments would not have been possible without the support of our donors, development partners, government agencies, churches, community leaders and well-wishers. I sincerely thank each of you for your trust and collaboration.

Programme implementation. Staff and administration. Capacity building and training. Monitoring and evaluation. Operational expenses.
Financial statements for FY 2025–26 have been independently audited by a qualified Chartered Accountant in accordance with applicable accounting standards. The auditor confirmed that the statements present a true and fair view of the organisation's position, and that funds were used for their intended purposes under donor agreements and applicable regulations.
